MCDONOUGH HOLLAND & ALLEN ADDS NEW DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

SACRAMENTO, Feb. 7, 2008 – McDonough Holland & Allen PC, a leading Northern California law firm representing both private and public sector clients, names Karen M. Wilhelmi its new Director of Finance. Wilhelmi is a certified public accountant with more than 17 years of financial management experience.

Previously, Wilhelmi worked with E*TRADE Financial as brokerage assistant controller, managing the accounting group responsible for the company’s brokerage customers, including providing guidance on issues related to GAAP, preparing financial statements, monthly closing procedures and driving controls in a highly regulated environment. Wilhelmi also worked with MTS Incorporated (Tower Records/Video/Books) as vice president and controller, with primary responsibility for the day-to-day accounting of the company’s domestic stores, consolidation of other domestic and international subsidiaries and all related internal and external financial reporting. She began her professional career with Coopers and Lybrand.

Wilhelmi is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, as well as a former board member of the Chemical Dependency Center for Women (CDCW) in Sacramento. She earned her B.S. in business administration, with a concentration in accounting, from California State University, Chico (1986).
