MCDONOUGH HOLLAND & ALLEN PC SHAREHOLDER MORGAN JONES ELECTED TO AMERICAN COLLEGE OF MORTGAGE ATTORNEYS FELLOWSHIP

SACRAMENTO, September 20, 2007 -- McDonough Holland & Allen PC, a leading Northern California law firm representing both private and public sector clients, announces that Shareholder Morgan T. Jones has been elected to the American College of Mortgage Attorneys (ACMA) as a fellow, making him one of only two Sacramento attorneys to earn this distinction since the professional organization’s inception in 1974.

The exclusive ACMA fellowship is an integrated group of lawyers across the country that is highly skilled and experienced in preparing real estate mortgages, lending transactions and related practice. The College seeks to improve and reform laws and procedures affecting real estate secured transactions, and to raise the level of professional responsibility of lawyers practicing in this area.

“Morgan has been a leader in this specialized area of real estate law for more than two decades and is very deserving of this honor,” said Jeffry R. Jones, McDonough’s managing shareholder. “Few in California hold this prestigious position, which offers a peer group of the best real estate mortgage and lending attorneys and the opportunity to further this distinct legal discipline. We fully support Morgan’s affiliation with the College, and given the mortgage lending climate, we are lucky to have him on the front lines assisting clients during this trying time.”

Jones’ real estate finance practice ranges from large, complex lending loan originations and workouts to volume lending programs. His practice includes representation in connection with construction loans; mezzanine loans; take-out, permanent and conduit loans; loan syndications and participations; intercreditor relationships; leasehold mortgage loans; affordable housing loans; letters of credit issued as credit enhancement to support bonds; and all types of security properties.

Jones frequently speaks and writes on the subjects of real property secured lending, commercial lending, workouts and foreclosures. He received his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law (1981), his M.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles (1975) and his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara (1970).
