MCDONOUGH HOLLAND & ALLEN PC ADDS REAL ESTATE AND ESTATE PLANNING ATTORNEYS

SACRAMENTO, Feb. 22, 2008 – McDonough Holland & Allen PC, a leading Northern California law firm representing both private and public sector clients, welcomes Of Counsel Michael J. Kuzmich to its Real Estate Practice Group and Rebecca A. Gardner as an estate planning and probate associate in its Business Services Practice Group. Kuzmich joins the firm from Sacramento’s Downey Brand LLP and Gardner from the Sacramento office of Hanson Bridgett Marcus Vlahos & Rudy LLP.

Kuzmich is experienced in prosecuting, defending and resolving all types of general and complex civil disputes in federal and state courts, as well as in private dispute resolution forums (arbitration and mediation). His experience includes litigating disputes with crossover between various industries and areas of law, including business/commercial, contract, real estate, mining, petroleum, construction, securities, trade secrets and manufacturing/products liability.

Kuzmich earned his J.D., Order of the Coif, from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law (2000), where he served as editor of the McGeorge Law Review; and his B.A., cum laude, from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, Calif. (1997).

Gardner’s practice focuses on general and complex estate planning, post-death trust and probate administration, trust and estate litigation, tax planning, and business planning involving family partnerships, limited liability company and other business entities. Gardner is a director of the Sacramento Estate Planning Council; a founding member of Professionals in Estate Planning; a member of the Sacramento Area Special Needs Trust Study Group; and a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association, Probate and Estate Planning Section, and the State Bar of California, Trust and Estate Section.

Gardner earned her J.D. from the University of California, Davis, School of Law (2003) and her B.A., summa cum laude, from California State University, Sacramento (1999).
