THE BEST OF SUMMER: FOUR ASSOCIATES JOIN MCDONOUGH HOLLAND & ALLEN’S PUBLIC LAW PRACTICE GROUP

SACRAMENTO/OAKLAND, Nov. 20, 2007 – McDonough Holland & Allen PC, a leading Northern California law firm representing both private and public sector clients, adds four associates to its Public Law Practice Group: Thomas S. Capriola, Patrick Holstine, Jennifer W. Peters and Niki M. Zupanic. Former summer associates at the firm, Capriola and Peters join the Oakland, Calif. office, while Holstine and Zupanic will work in Sacramento.

“We are thrilled with this stellar class of first-year associates, whom we’ve come to know through our summer program in the Public Law Practice Group,” said Jeffry R. Jones, managing shareholder at McDonough. “Tom, Patrick, Jennifer, and Niki will work closely with some of the leading public attorneys in California, as well as our clients, which include some of the state’s most dynamic public entities.”

Capriola earned his J.D. from University of California, Davis, School of Law (2007) and his B.A. in political science from the University of California, Berkeley (2001). Previously, he interned for the San Francisco City Attorney's Office, was a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs in 2003-2004, and served as a legislative correspondent for Congressman Doug Ose, United States House of Representatives.

Peters earned her J.D. from University of California, Hastings College of the Law (2007) and her B.A. in English from Hamilton College (1996). Her previous experience includes externing for Hon. Joseph C. Spero, United States Magistrate Judge, Northern District of California; interning for the Institute for Local Government; interning for the San Francisco City Attorney's Office; and externing for Hon. Harold E. Kahn, Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco.
