McDonough Holland & Allen Adds Real Estate Transaction Attorney

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Mar. 18, 2008 – McDonough Holland & Allen PC, a leading Northern California law firm representing both private and public sector clients, adds real estate transaction attorney Norman M. Levedahl to its Real Estate Practice Group.

“Norman's background in real estate, commercial banking and financial analysis brings a valuable perspective to the McDonough real estate team. With Norman's experience in distressed real estate, especially in post-Katrina New Orleans, and in banking, the McDonough team strengthens its ability to provide critical insight into investment alternatives and take advantage of the current favorable acquisition environment,” said Jeffry R. Jones, managing shareholder at McDonough.

Levedahl was previously a business banking officer at U.S. Bank, where he analyzed client financial statements and advised on financing options. He also worked as an assistant project/asset manager for New Orleans-based HRI Properties, developing and implementing asset management strategies, as well as strategies for divesture of encumbered investments, for the company’s multi-state commercial and residential real estate portfolio. He also has experience working with tenants’ rights issues, including affordable housing and property rights.

Levedahl is a member of the State Bar of California, the Urban Land Institute, the Hispanic National Bar Association, and the New Orleans Young Leadership Council. He received his J.D. from Tulane University Law School (2007), where he served as assistant chairman of the student life committee on the Tulane University Student Administration Task Force and as a legal advocate for the Katrina Legal Clinic. Levedahl received his B.A. in political science from the University of California, Berkeley (2002).
