Almeida. "Daniela has exemplified outstanding legal knowledge, client service and leadership qualities since joining the firm in 2003" said managing shareholder Jeffry Jones. "Her new role as Shareholder will continue the growth and success of the firm's Health Care practice. We congratulate Daniela on this well deserved promotion." Almeida joined MHA in 2003 and is a member of the firm’s Health Care group where she specializes in health care operational, regulatory business litigation matters and contractual disputes. Almeida represents health care providers, including hospitals and physician groups in a variety of complex business litigation matters and has significant experience in litigating contractual disputes between providers and health plans. She also has experience representing municipalities, financial institutions, law firms and large corporations and counsels her clients in a wide variety of business matters including business litigation, professional malpractice and disciplinary defense in both state and federal courts. Almeida has recently become a certified arbitrator with the American Health Lawyers Association. She will be presenting an arbitration seminar at the annual meeting of the California Health Lawyers Association in November in Los Angeles, California. She is on the executive board and on the programs committee for the Sacramento chapter of the Federal Bar Association and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Sacramento chapter, Barrister's Club. Almeida earned her J.D., cum laude, from State University of New York in 1997 and her B.A. in Rhetoric and Communications from Willamette University in 1993.
