Press ReleasesMcDonough Holland & Allen Names 2008-09 Board of Directors SACRAMENTO, May 13, 2008 – McDonough Holland & Allen PC has added Daniela Almeida to its Board of Directors for the 2008-09 fiscal year. Elected at the annual shareholder meeting, Almeida joins the re-elected members of the Board of Directors: Jim Leet, Iris Yang, Jim Clarke, Tod Fogarty, André Campbell and Brent Hawkins, and succeeds Donna Holtz, who will continue in her Real Estate practice. “Leadership change is a healthy and necessary part of a dynamic organization like McDonough Holland & Allen,” said Edward J. Quinn Jr., McDonough’s managing shareholder. “Each Board develops its own chemistry, style and set of priorities. I believe Daniela is an exceptional addition, and Donna’s contributions over the last year have been critical.” A shareholder in the firm’s Health Care practice group, Almeida focuses on health care operations, regulatory business litigation, and contractual disputes. She represents health care providers in a variety of complex business litigation with emphasis on contractual disputes between providers and health plans. She also is experienced in representing municipalities, financial institutions, law firms and large corporations and counsels her clients in a wide variety of business matters, including business litigation, professional malpractice and disciplinary defense in both state and federal courts. Almeida is a member of the California State, New York State and Sacramento County Bar Associations; a member of the Women Lawyers of Sacramento; and a Board member of the Sacramento No Glass Ceiling Task Force. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the State University of New York, School of Law (1997) and her B.A. from Willamette University (1993).
