Knowledge, Power, and Invention - Staying Competitive in the Global Marketplace and the Role of IP Reform: Harvard Journal of Law & Technology Symposium 2006 March 16-17, 2006, Harvard Law School Information: Carl Schwedler was invited to participate on a prestigious panel to discuss “Sowing Seeds of Change: Cultivating A Balanced Approach to Agricultural Biotechnology,” which addressed who benefits from the current intellectual property regime, the impact of the current system on both innovators and end-users, and areas in which legal or structural reform is necessary. Carl was selected based on his extensive legal experience representing clients in the biotechnology industry. Fellow panelists were Joanne Scott, Professor of Law at University College, London; Sheila Jasanoff, Professor of Science and Technology Studies at Harvard University; and Percy Schmeiser, farmer and seed developer involved in litigation with Monsanto.
