SACRAMENTO OFFICE Health Care Business Attorney: McDonough is seeking an associate with 2-5+ years of law firm experience in transactional practice. Experience with health care nonprofit and regulatory matters and corporate transactions preferred. Candidates should have excellent writing and interpersonal skills, sound business judgment and strong recommendations. Experience with public clients a plus but not required. Responsibilities will include legal research, compliance and due diligence investigations, transaction negotiation, contract drafting and direct client contact. McDonough is seeking a senior level attorney to join our Healthcare Practice Group. McDonough's Health Care Practice Group serves industry clients from individual health care practitioners to large national health care providers and insurers. We have earned our clients' recognition as a leader in health care by providing expertise in managed care and other contracting, payer-provider disputes, operations, regulatory compliance, finance, and litigation. Candidates for this position should have a minimum of 10 years experience counseling clients regarding a wide variety of health care operations, including regulatory compliance, finance, licensing and enrollment, reimbursement, general contracting, and fraud and abuse. In addition to strong practice experience, successful candidates will have demonstrated leadership capabilities and have both experience with and enthusiasm for mentoring younger lawyers. Candidate will have demonstrated very strong client service skills and will be expected to be a integral relationship partner with the firm's health care clients, including our biggest client Sutter Health. This position can be based in either the Sacramento or Oakland office, but will work with all healthcare attorneys in the firm. McDonough is seeking one or two transactional attorneys to join our Real Estate practice group. McDonough's Real Estate practice group is among the largest and most sophisticated in Northern California. We represent individuals and public and private entities involved in the successful acquisition, development, ownership and disposition of residential, commercial, retail and industrial real estate. Our Real Estate attorneys have a proven success record of offering our clients the highest quality advice, planning, transactional documentation and dispute resolution within the major areas of development, financing and leasing. We are seeking attorneys with 6 or more years of legal experience including at least 4 years of intensive real estate transactional work.
