Professional Experience
Martin joined McDonough Holland & Allen PC in 2005 and practices in the firm’s Health Care practice group. His practice includes health care operational issues and commercial and contractual litigation and arbitration. He is developing expertise in coordination of benefits. Martin also has experience in several other areas of civil litigation including public entity defense, construction litigation, and products liability defense.
Prior to joining McDonough, Martin was a Senior Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he provided licensing related consulting services to software vendors, including Autodesk and Cisco Systems. He also managed and conducted license compliance examinations for technology companies, including Microsoft, Sony and DuPont.
Representative Matters
Represented hospitals in a high stakes dispute with a non-contracted health plan regarding the value of the services provided by the hospitals to the members of the health plan.
Represented a hospital in a dispute that arose out of a failed joint venture between the hospital and a physician group to operate an ambulatory surgery center.
Represented a third party administrator for a medical group in a dispute arising from the denial of services to a health plan member.
Provided regulatory compliance and contracting advice to hospitals regarding coordination of benefits-related matters involving a diverse group of commercial and government payers.
Advise hospitals on charging and pricing related matters.
