Rebecca Reed | Human Resources Director
As human resources director, Rebecca Reed supports McDonough's mission, vision and long-range strategies by managing the human community. She is dedicated to providing a strategic link between people and the results they can achieve. Rebecca joined McDonough with more than 15 years of extensive experience as a HR management professional, working both in house and as a consultant to private companies, state and local governments, special districts, and joint power authorities.
Previously, Becky was vice president of The Reed Group, Inc., a management consulting firm, where her ultimate goal was to achieve a balance for her clients between the dynamic forces taking place in the workforce, workplace, and business environment. In this capacity, she critically examined the human resource management functions, identified strengths and weaknesses, and developed workable solutions to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
Prior to joining The Reed Group, Rebecca worked eight years at KPMG Consulting (currently known as BearingPoint), one of the largest professional service firms in the world. Four of her eight years were spent as the firm's national human resources director with responsibilities covering the entire human resources lifecycle for 1,200 employees nationwide.
Rebecca is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the Sacramento Area Human Resources Association (SAHRA), the Sacramento Employers Advisory Council, and the California Chamber of Commerce. She received a M.A. in English and a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in human resource management. |
